Curious what all the police cars were up to at the Washington Mutual in Downtown Bellevue at Northeast Eighth Street and 108th Street NE Monday afternoon?

According to Bellevue police at 12:23pm December 31st, a 23-year-old man was leaving the bank when an off duty police officer was driving by and saw the suspected bank robber walking out of the bank as a dye pack exploded which was placed with the stolen money. The dye is used by the bank for security reasons.

The robber, who drove a silver BMW, was arrested on sight. The $1,500 stolen from the bank was fully recovered.
