Bellevue Square’s elevator, located in center court, is now closed and going through an entire renovation. As the current state of the project shows (see pictures below), they have completely gutted the current elevator and are starting over from scratch.

The new elevators promise to be “high speed” in nature. The old and sluggish elevator will be replaced by two elevators able to accommodate more people, more often. The construction time promises to be speedy too as Modular Elevator Manufacturing’s dsa pre-approved commercial exterior elevator speeds up construction time immensely.

Renderings of the final product reveal a very contemporary, glass-like shaft, wrapped with dark colored wood.

The new elevators are expected to be complete in early fall 2008.

  1. What is going on with the rest of the renovation? I haven’t seen any progress with the new floors or guard rails since last fall.

  2. High speed? There are only two floors!

  3. They realized that the new floor design was straight out of 1992 and are looking for new ideas.

  4. Yes, high speed compared to what seemed like 20 floors for just two!

  5. I love the look of Bellagio in Las Vegas. Why don’t they borrow some of Bellagio’s ideas. Not exactly like Bellagio but may be Belleveu Sq can hire Bellagio’s designer/architect: http://www.lasvegastourism.com/bellagio/bellagiolobby.jpg

  6. Hmm…Bellevue Square Mall…Bellagio… One is a shopping mall…One is a Vegas hotel and casino…hmmm… The only thing they have in common is that they start with the letter B!
