R&R Adult Store Closes Downtown Bellevue In preparation for the upcoming construction for the planned Marriott AC Hotel at 106th PL NE & NE 2nd St, the long-time R&R Adult Toys store has recently closed in downtown Bellevue.  To the best of our knowledge this is the only adult store in downtown Bellevue. We could not find official records, but the store had been open for over 15 years.

The City of Bellevue approved the design for the new project in September, which is planned for 7-stories, 110,000 square feet and 234 hotel units.

  1. A Man in Bellevue

Wow. That’s ashamed. Sure it’s a porn store, but there was traffic there to keep it running. Although Bellevue likes to be prudish, we are all human, and some of those humans like the convenience to shop for adult material to enjoy in their own home. A married couple (friends of mine) went in with me once and we found an adult card game. It has been a HUGE HIT at our game night events. We would have never found that game without the ability to browse an actual store. With that said, R&R was open back in 1989 when I moved here. So I know it’s at least that old. A quick search on Seattle Times, also shows it in stories from 1994 through 2004. Just sayin’. 🙂

  2. Probably better that it’s gone, it was very popular with the poors. Anything that keeps them away is a good thing, imo.

  3. anon,

Just hope that you never fall on hard times so that you have to move away (from yourself).
