The owners of Pearl Bar & Dining plan to open a new eatery in downtown Bellevue’s Hyatt Regency hotel early next year.

Bradley Dickinson and Mikel Rogers announced their new dining concept this week: a new American tavern called KORAL. This casual, contemporary dining destination will serve dinner daily as well as brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

The menu features appetizers, small plates, and bigger plates, including half-shell oyster shooters with pepper vodka and optional horseradish ($2 each), the kitchen burger with “serious goo factor” and rosemary sea salt fries ($12), and gnocchi with braised oxtail and beef jus ($18).

KORAL will take over the former Twisted Cork space, located at 900 Bellevue Way NE, suite 100. Construction is scheduled to begin after Thanksgiving, with an estimated completion date of late February 2012.

  1. That doesn’t sound like a tavern at all. I was really excited by the headline but the menu sounds like much of the same….DT could really use some more casual/comfortable places.

  2. We don’t need another place to buy $12 fries. Not exited at all.

  3. @tp, it looks like those $12 fries includes a kitchen burger with serious “goo factor”.

Don’t be selective when reading, try reading the WHOLE article before commenting on the few words you actually read. 🙂

  4. @Bruce Wayne- My mistake. I’ll be sure to try their take on a burger with extra cheese…sorry, “goo.” Sounds super hip. Something Bellevue is seriously lacking, as I was alluding to.
