Bellevue Downtown Association President Leslie Lloyd submitted her resignation last week, according to a statement from the BDA.

Lloyd has accepted the position of executive director at the Icicle Creek Center for the Arts in Leavenworth. However, she will stay on to aid the BDA in its transition through Jan. 31, 2013.

“While a big loss for the BDA, it affords Leslie an exciting opportunity to pursue her passion around arts presenting, and it will allow her and her husband to make the move to the new home they are building in the Wenatchee Valley,” BDA Board Chairman Brian Brand said in the statement.

For the past 11 years, Lloyd and her team have expanded the local nonprofit organization’s offerings and boosted member value. Brand said Lloyd will be hard to replace, so he has assembled an executive committee task force to recommend a transition strategy.
