Three hair stylists working together at Obadiah Salon a year ago sat down and shared a dream to open a high-end fashion forward clothing store. A year later Apryl McCarthy, Serenity Wallen, and Gabe Walton have achieved their dream.
They opened RAG, a much-needed men’s clothing and high-end fashion boutique at Bellevue Place at the beginning of August. Bellevue Place is also where Obadiah Salon is located. Downtown Bellevue is now beginning to receive a reputation for being a well-respected shopping mecca, and RAG fits into this profile to a tee.
RAG is targeting male customers in their 20’s – 60’s. They are going for that customer who doesn’t want to be like everyone else, “He wants to stand out in the boardroom.” said Apryl. You will stand out in the boardroom wearing RAG’s unique, sophisticated and elegant clothing.
Anything from T-Shirts, jeans, and suits are all featured in the store. A personal favorite was the high-end umbrella’s they offer. This seems like a natural in Bellevue. Imagine being dressed up in your best suit with a chinsy $1.99 umbrella walking down Bellevue Way. Something doesn’t seem right about that picture.
Get your wallet ready…the clothes aren’t cheap. But you get what you pay for. The clothes, and service are of the utmost quality. And the best part is that you can just about bet that nobody else will be walking around Eastside with the same outfit, the clothes are imported from the east coast.
Go and check it out, the store is very inviting. The owners are very hands on and seem to genuinely be having a fun time with the store.

Haven’t been there yet, but can’t wait to check it out. I love Barneys NY, but have to trek all the way to Seattle for that. Maybe RAG is a good alternate until they bring Barneys to Bellevue!

For the people leaving rude comments, you really should grow up. I have checked out this store and it is so masculine and sexy. I am woman and I definitely would want my man to shop there. It is worth dropping by!
Whether or not their clothes are fabulous or worth the money, at least the owners’ names are designer chic! My boyfriend and I, however, are just dyyyying for an H&M store to open but, sadly, I will have to wait until next Autumn at least.
Bellevue could use some good quirky fashion retailing outside the influence of the amazing Kemper triangle. Just to shake it up a little bit, dontcha think?
This is a truly unique store. Pooltable, shoeshine chair, big plasma t.v., seahawk sundays, great unique clothes, I think i found a new place to live.
this place ROCKS!! they hook you up with everything, great service. not as flammy as DL and not as old as marios.
I have never been there yet, and I stress yet, but it’s my brother’s store and I know you’ll get great service from someone who knows what he’s talking about, just look at the way he dresses.
This store is an awesome addtion to Bellevue…I went to the Grand Opening Party and had a fantabulous time!!

That cheezy picture with the champagne glasses cracks me up. Is this how people really live in Bellevue? I like my jeans tee shirt and sandles. And I own a house in Bellevue. Let’s move beyond the pretense….
