A report Friday afternoon from the Seattle Times confirms Bellevue city planners have approved a 450-foot office tower at NE 8th St and 110th Ave NE by development company Beacon Capital Partners of Boston.

The proposed project is reported to be 32-stories, and capacity for 691,000 sq. ft. of office space, 11,000 sq. ft. of retail, and six floors of underground parking.

This proposed project sits across the street from The Bravern project, and a block away from City Center 2, where Microsoft has taken occupied office space at both properties.

  1. This is going to create such a traffic headache along with The Bravern along NE 8th…

  2. That would’ve been a prime spot for a larger retail component to help connect the two retail nodes – bellsquare and the Bravern. Oh well…

  3. Brilliant. The bravern’s strategy for competition is to make the 405 offramp/8th street traffic so heinous that no one will feel like driving 5 blocks to the bellevue collection.

  4. I’m not sure Microsoft has actually taken occupancy at City Center 2. Besides a struggling restaurant – it looks pretty vacant.

  5. Does anyone know if this proposed project includes the Yuen Lui property?

Is there anyone that thinks this project will actually break ground in the next five years???

  6. Wow the growth of Bellevue is awesome but TRAFFIC? That is going to create a massive issue, right off 405.
