A plan for a new Bellevue School District elementary school, to open in the fall of 2017, at Wilburton, is being developed to be located next to the Bellevue School District’s Educational Service Center. This new neighborhood school is in the planning and permitting phase and is anticipated to open in the fall of 2017.
The yet unnamed school of approximately 82,000 square feet, will enroll students from around the downtown and Wilburton areas, relieving overcrowding at Enatai, Woodridge, and Clyde Hill elementary schools.
The new school will feature art and science spaces, and will integrate green technologies similar to other new school buildings in the district. As well, the proposed facility will have a synthetic turf field and an early learning center.
As the project unfolds, community meetings will be held to facilitate input and feedback. For more information on the project visit the Bellevue School District website.
