AC Hotel Bellevue — officially AC Hotel Seattle Bellevue/Downtown — is the seven-story Marriott on the corner of NE 2nd Street and 106th Avenue NE, one block north of Main Street and a few blocks south of Bellevue Square — inside the downtown core, between Old Bellevue and the Collection. Marriott bills it as European-inspired and “in the heart of Bellevue,” and the pitch holds: pared-back rooms in three types (a king, a corner king with windows on two sides, and a two-queen), a lobby with a 15-foot living wall and library, AC Kitchen for the European breakfast, and AC Lounge for the brand’s gin and tonic and tapas at night. There is a complimentary fitness center, six small meeting rooms totaling about 4,100 square feet, valet parking, and no pool. It is a design hotel for people who plan to spend their days out in the neighborhood.

DBN followed the project from the September 2014 design approval, when the city signed off on a 234-unit, 110,000-square-foot hotel replacing the old Bamboo Garden restaurant building at 10628 NE 2nd St, through Bamboo Garden’s move to Soma Towers, to the August 2017 opening — the first AC Hotels by Marriott in the Seattle area, opened with 234 rooms and managed at the time by Sage Hospitality. The marriott.com page carries a 2022 Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice badge.

It is the right pick when the trip is about Old Main and the Collection on foot; for the full-service towers with ballrooms and lounges see our guide to downtown Bellevue hotels.

The Corner

1 King Bed, Windows on 2 Sides

The corner version of the king, with glass on two walls — the room to ask for.

Two queens for a shared trip. Accessible variants of the king and queen rooms are listed with bathtub or roll-in shower; marriott.com lists no suites.

The Lobby

AC Lounge

Cocktails and tapas in the lobby lounge, with the 15-foot living wall and library DBN described at opening. The brand’s signature gin and tonic is the house pour.

Logistics

Getting There & When to Go

You are inside the downtown grid here: Old Main is a block south, the Collection a few blocks north, and valet is the only parking option.

Getting There & Parking

  • Drive: Valet parking for a daily fee at the hotel entrance on 106th Place NE; marriott.com lists no self-parking. An EV charging station is on site. If you would rather self-park, the Bellevue Square garages are free and a few blocks north.
  • Light rail: 2 Line to Bellevue Downtown Station, then walk south and west through downtown to NE 2nd St and 106th Ave NE — see our light rail guide
  • On foot: The entrance is on 106th Place NE at NE 2nd. Old Main’s restaurants are one block south on Main Street; Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square, and Meydenbauer Center are a short walk north up 106th or Bellevue Way.

Best Times to Go

Weekday business travel sets the rhythm; weekends are calmer and pair well with an Old Main dinner and a Bellevue Square day. Meydenbauer Center events and the December holidays fill downtown hotels generally, so book earlier for those windows.

What’s Nearby

You are steps from Old Bellevue, so dinner is easy: try El Gaucho a couple of blocks northeast on 108th for the steakhouse night, 13 Coins on Main Street when the day runs late, or Cantinetta on Old Main for Tuscan plates.

Good to Know

As of August 2026: pets welcome, two per room, for a non-refundable fee; minimum check-in age 21; smoke-free property; no airport shuttle (Marriott lists an outside transportation option with reservation required). Marriott lists six event rooms and a business center. Check-in is in the afternoon; the marriott.com overview page carries current policies.
