Snowflake Lane — The Bellevue Collection’s nightly street show, now in its third decade — sends drummers, dancers, and festive floats down the block between Bellevue Square and Lincoln Square while machine-made snow falls over the crowd and the lights run for half a mile. It’s free, it starts at 7 p.m. sharp, and it lasts about 25 minutes: exactly the length of time small children and cold adults can be delighted simultaneously.
The show runs every single night from the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve — November 27 through December 24 in 2026 — rain or (real) snow, with modifications only in severe weather. It anchors Bellevue’s Magic Season alongside the Downtown Ice Rink and Garden d’Lights, and it draws serious crowds — treat a December Saturday like a ticketed event and arrive an hour early.
The Show
A nightly parade in loop format — both sides of the street get the full show.
Falling Snow
Snow machines line the route, and at showtime it snows on Bellevue Way regardless of what the weather is doing. It lands on cue, every night.
Live Drummers
The drumlines are the heartbeat of the show — live percussion up and down the street that you’ll hear before you see. Kids’ universal favorite.
Floats, Dancers & Characters
Festive floats and costumed performers loop along Bellevue Way, so the parade passes every viewing spot rather than marching by once.
Half a Mile of Lights
The full block between NE 4th and NE 8th is dressed in lights for the season — worth a stroll even on nights you skip the show.

Where to Stand
The two sides of the street have different rules. Knowing them is half the game.
East Side (Lincoln Square)
Once the road closes, blue cones mark the street viewing area and the front row can sit on the ground — the best setup for small kids. This side fills first for a reason.
West Side (Bellevue Square)
Sidewalk viewing only — no standing in the street — but it’s the recommended side for wheelchair users and strollers, with the Square’s doors (and warmth) directly behind you.
When to Come
- Weeknights early in the season are the calmest — Monday through Thursday, first two weeks
- Friday–Sunday and the week before Christmas: arrive at least an hour before the 7 p.m. show
- The lights are on all evening — late arrivals still get the stroll

Parking
Free garage parking at Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square, and Bellevue Place. The local move: Bellevue Place (under the Hyatt Regency, entrance off NE 10th) — it’s the garage the Collection itself recommends and the last to fill. Everything is a covered walk or sky bridge from there.
Skip the Car
The 2 Line’s Bellevue Downtown Station is a short walk from the route — about 25 minutes from downtown Seattle across the I-90 bridge. In December, the train beats the garage hunt decisively.
Weather
The show runs in normal Northwest winter weather. Severe conditions — real snow, high winds — can modify the parade; check the official page before heading out on rough nights.
With Kids
Front-row ground seating on the east side, ear coverage for drum-sensitive toddlers, and a post-show hot chocolate plan. Bathrooms and warm-up laps are easiest inside Bellevue Square, directly behind the west-side viewing.

The east (Lincoln Square) side allows street viewing behind the blue cones with ground seating in the front row; the west (Bellevue Square) side is sidewalk-only and the better choice for wheelchairs and strollers. The parade loops, so both sides see the full show.
How early should I arrive?
On weeknights early in the season, 20–30 minutes ahead is usually enough for a good spot. On Fridays through Sundays — and any night the week before Christmas — arrive at least an hour before the 7 p.m. showtime.
Does it run every night, even in bad weather?
