The Hanover Company based out of Houston, TX has just purchased the current Downtown Bellevue Cadillac dealership property for $39,300,000. The dated looking Cadillac dealership at 1001 106th Ave NE is over 2.5 acres, and is planned for two high-rise apartment buildings.
This is the Hanover Company’s third property and construction project on NE 10th St. The two buildings will be 18-20 stories tall.
The Cadillac dealership will occupy the space for five months longer, then construction is projected to begin at the end of 2008. Cadillac is expected to move to the previous Dodge dealership location on 116th.

I love that Hanover is building so much around here, but can they get some better architects? I visited their site and I would only want to live in maybe two out of their 30 places, very boring…
I can’t wait to see the Cadillac dealer go from there! I’m counting down the days…It’s an eyesore.
Awesome. I had a feeling they’d sell since they already gave up their lot for the Belcarra project.
And to answer Justin, Hanover has hired Carrier Johnson of San Diego to be the architect on this project. They’ve designed some excellent towers down in SD, they’re a big upgrade over Collins Woerman whom designed Hanover’s other two Bellevue towers.
I am all for mixing up the architects. But I do like how generally things are kept to local firms. There are many top tier firms on the Eastside and it would be great to have more of them working on these higher profile projects.
This is off topic but I didn’t know where else to post this. Is Lucky Strike opening soon? I remember them saying that it’d open in time for the holidays but haven’t heard any news since.
I think Carrier Johnson also designed The Olivian, also by Hanover, which is under construction in downtown Seattle.
