Dear Lea,
Where is the best place in Downtown Bellevue to throw a birthday party?

Dear ‘I wanna wear my party hat,’
Hands down, I think the best place to throw a birthday party in Downtown Bellevue is Lucky Strike. You’re probably thinking, well that was an easy answer, but you can make it bigger and better than it seems!
There are 3 different types of party packages offered at Lucky Strike in Bellevue:
1. “The Approach,” which includes 2 hours of bowling, shoes, tons of appetizers, and 2 hours of draft beer
2. “The Head Pin,” which includes 2 hours of bowling, shoes, tons of appetizers, and 2 hours of draft beer, bottled beer, and wine
3. “The Perfect Score,” which includes 2 hours of bowling, shoes, tons of appetizers, and 2 hours of anything the bar has in stock: beer, wine, liquor, etc.
Once you’ve chosen a type of party, then you can pick a theme. Of course you can be traditional and boring where everyone shows up as they are, or you can add a little fun to your party. Have everyone dress up in 70’s gear, complete with bell-bottoms and afros. Bust out the 80’s gear, with leg-warmers and hyper-color tees. Bring it back to the old school 50’s bowling style; think Grease and the Pink Ladies. Themed parties end up being the most fun! Just don’t forget that Lucky Strike does have a dress code, so no 90’s gangsta attire or Motorcycle Club gear.
For those of you that think you’ll never have a birthday party there because it’s too expensive, check out Monday nights. Mondays after 9pm is all-you-can-bowl for only $15pp, and that includes your shoes! (You must be 21+). While you’re there, you can even indulge in late night happy hour.
I’ve even seen kids enjoy birthday parties at Lucky Strike. Parents, there are even 3 party packages for them, as long as they bowl before 8pm.
Now all you need to do is send an eVite, and your in luck because they have some special invitation designs just for bowling parties!
Bowling for Birthdays,
Lea
I’ve only been in there a few times and it’s terrible. From the skanky uniforms the bar tenders and waitstaff wear, to the empty wine racks behind the bar it just doesn’t give a favorable impression.
Joeys uses the same female staff model as a means of getting guys in, but at least the ladies working in Joeys get to dress elegantly.
so true, lucky strike is not worth the hype lea… no way it is hands down the best place, the parlor is great too…they also have rooms to rent for parties. There are many places just as cool as lucky strike. Figure it out
