This Friday, Downtown Bellevue will arrive with its holiday makeover, making it one of the largest holiday destinations in the Puget Sound. In its 12th Annual “Bellevue Magic Season,” Bellevue will feature Snowflake Lane at The Bellevue Collection, Group Health Ice Arena in the Downtown Bellevue Park, Garden d’Lights at the Bellevue Botanical Garden, and The Theatre at Meydenbauer Center.
Take a break from shopping and enjoy the season’s spirit with friends and family at one of these great events this holiday season:
Snowflake Lane at The Bellevue Collection
Nightly during the holidays Bellevue Way transforms into Snowflake Lane with falling snow, live toy soldiers, winter characters, music, and a light show. If you’ve yet to see this, it’s a must see in Downtown Bellevue this holiday season. Snowflake Lane is reported to cost more than $1 million.
Nov 28th – Dec 24th, Nightly 7pm

Group Health Ice Arena in the Downtown Bellevue Park
This year with an extended schedule and larger skating surface, it’s a great family event with refreshments and heated viewing areas. Also new for this year is “Free Skate Mondays.” To pick up a pass, visit a participating Bank of America branch.
Nov 28th – Jan 11th

With more than 500,000 lights, Saturday will mark the first night of the lights illuminated at Bellevue Botanical Garden. Stroll through the gardens and enjoy music by Classical KING FM 98.1.
Nov 29th – Jan 3rd, Open nightly 5:00 – 10:00pm
Free (donations are encouraged to support the light show)
The Theatre at Meydenbauer Center
The Theatre at Meydenbauer plays host this holiday season to many holiday musical and dramatic productions by regional and local performance groups:
- November 29–30: Bellevue Opera presents Hansel and Gretel
- December 7: Bellevue Youth Symphony presents Magic of Mistletoe
- December 12–14 & 17–23: International Ballet Theatre presents The Nutcracker

So much fun going on Michael! Really looking forward to another great holiday season here in Bellevue.
No tree lighting this year? I know the Galleria event was a debacle last year, but you’d think Bellevue Square would do something….
Oh man, I hope Galleria doesn’t attempt their tree lighting again.
I’d be neat if at some point Kemper Development Co. (maybe next year) they had a tree lighting ceremony outside of Macy’s to kick off Snowflake lane!
I guess I missed this now (in)famous event at the Galleria. What happened?
Joe, read these two links:

It’ll explain the whole thing.

P.S. The Galleria is having a tree lighting ceremony again. However, I’m giving you no information about it because it was so terrible last year!
PLEASE Lea …. now I’m going to start asking around. I want to see it and if they do it right, they might just decide to make it flop harder every year!
