red_ribbon_logo_redRed Ribbon Gourmet, a local gourmet take-home dinner producer, recently opened in Downtown Bellevue. Tucked behind Old Main Street on 102nd, owners Kristin and Sherrie will be selling their locally made food and private-label sauces and dips from the tiny street-front previously occupied by Kaede Kissa Japanese.

Red Ribbon’s entrees are made to go straight from freezer to oven and serve up to 4 people. Their menu includes upscale versions of Beef Stroganoff, Italian classics, and even a Thai dish. I was lucky enough to sample the most popular entree, the Vegetarian Butternut Squash Lasagne. Even my chef-husband, always the food snob, was happily pleased with the dish’s flavor (I attempted to pass the lasagna off as my own cooking, but no go). For those of us with few skills in the kitchen, Red Ribbon is a smart idea for a neighborhood shop. Welcome Kristin and Sherrie!

  1. I didn’t even know this place existed, thanks!

Also, has anybody tried it? Is it any good?

  2. I took home a vegetarian butternut squash lasagne, and I was pretty impressed. It was yummy. And, if you’re a Microsoft employee, they’re on the PRIME card. They have a pretty loyal Microsoft following at their Redmond store.

  3. We’ve been eating their stuff off of AmazonFresh for a while. It’s pretty good.

  5. The food is incredible. Whenever I have family visiting from out of town they require a trip to Red Ribbon for the Lasagna and Stuffed Shells.
