Never have encouragement, support, and belief in one’s self and each other meant so much then when the economy is in a slump. Hopelink’s 15th Annual Reaching Out Benefit Luncheon helps provide just that, and this year, talented musician John Legend will be the guest speaker on October 18th at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.
John Legend is a 6-time Grammy Award winner and was recently recognized as one of Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People of 2009.” Legend will speak about his philanthropic work and inspire the audience with his music at the event.
Whether it be a veteran who doesn’t feel worthy of his benefits after losing a comrade in a war, a father who is ashamed that he lost his job due to the economy, or a mother who worries where her child’s next meal will come from, Hopelink can help.
Private and public donations have kept Hopelink functioning since 1971, and for the last 15 years one of those ways to donate have been in the form of the Reaching Out Benefit Luncheon.
