The Bellevue Jazz Festival will present a screening of the film Icons Among Us: Jazz in the Present Tense at 7:30pm October 7th at the Meydenbauer Center theatre, 11100 NE 6th Street, in downtown Bellevue.
The 95-minute film portrays the lives of the new generation of jazz musicians. It features Esperanza Spalding, Herbie Hancock, Robert Glasper, Medeski Martin & Wood, Brian Blade and The Fellowship Band and many more.
Tickets cost $12 at the door, or $10 in advance at 1-800-838-3006 or at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/123509. Admission is $5 for students, online and at the door.
