  1. It’s sad to see another shop fall victim to the Bravern’s poor performance. I’m glad they (Masins) still have their other shops to rely upon though. Open air shopping centers in the NW just don’t work.

  2. Never been a fan of the Bravern in general. I drive by it every day but never want to just stop by and wander.

  3. This was a small store for Masin’s and probably an experiment-the Main street location is a true showplace. However don’t know how high end furniture is selling well in this economy. Kriess in Bellevue Place vacated their space this week-Would love to see a Restoration Hardware store in that location!

  4. Too bad that didn’t work out. Seems like a nice family. John Howie Steak restaurant seems to be doing fine but I’m not sure about the other places. It might have potential, but again, I just don’t have that urge to go visit it all the time. I hope it works out, but not sure the people that drove this project were really from here.

  5. The shops that end up leaving The Bravern
have generally given me poor customer service. I visited Masins , asked specific questions about a product and never received a call back. It was without customers that day and every other day that I passed that location. The staff at Henredon and Schoener have always given me excellent customer service and I continue to business there.

  6. I also realized CafĂ© Coton has closed down a very short time after it opens… Very disappointing because it was a very good & well-reviewed shop.

  7. Cafe Coton was a pop up store intened to be open for the Holidays only. They have a permanent location in Seattle, so good news- you can still buy things from them. I love the Masins store- not sure if they are a “victim” of the Bravern, but like Starbucks- do you need one on every corner? Their Main Street store is delightful, and I hope they continue to thrive there as they have since 1927.
