Stroller Strides had their Grand Opening on October 12th at Downtown Bellevue Park. Over 34 moms and their babies attended, with babies in strollers.
Stroller Strides is a total fitness program for moms and babies. It includes power walking and intervals of strength and body toning exercises using exercise tubing, the stroller and the environment. Taught by certified and specially trained fitness instructors, it is a great workout for any mom. Stroller Strides instructors weave songs and activities into routines designed to entertain and engage baby, while moms are led through a series of exercises specific to her role as mom. This unique program also provides moms with the opportunity to meet other moms, engage in playgroups with their babies, and to form lasting friendships. It can be a great place to escape what can seem like endless babies videos and music, without sacrificing your baby’s development.
The company offers several class formats, which can be taught outdoors or in a variety of unique indoor settings. Classes are Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.

I was thinking recently after hearing a radio host explain this theory also. Why do women who push strollers always clip the achillies heels of the people in front of them? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had my ankles taken out of baby strollers. Do women feel powerful when controlling them? Or are they just very clumsy when operating them?
What a great idea with a fitness program for moms and babies and as mrvacuumcleaners say, it might just make mums handling the stroller a little better
