Sky Ultra Lounge in the Galleria has typically been known for attracting patrons for its hip-hop music. Now on Tuesdays throughout the winter, the venue makes a bold addition and adds a new sound via Tuesday Jazz Night. Tuesdays, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., you can groove with world renowned recording artist Michael Powers. The local guitarist will be serving grooves for dancing and romancing. All day on Tuesdays, Sky Ultra Lounge will deliver an unexpected treat: upscale musical ambiance combined with the Sky’s plentiful, all day, happy hour menu.
Locals have long enjoyed the view of downtown Bellevue, from plush lounge booths in the deck bar, nestled on the third floor of the Galleria. We’re going to bet that jazz enthusiasts will love unwinding at Tuesday Jazz Night at Sky Ultra Lounge, too.
On stage, Michael Powers has performed with, recorded with or shared billings with many recording artists, including Herbie Hancock, the legendary Ray Charles, Grammy award-winning vocalist Diane Schuur, as well as R&B greats Gladys Knight and the Pips. Jazz enthusiasts will dig Power’s sound rooted in jazz, with influences from pop, R&B, and blues; with blues being at the core of his inspiration.
