Multifamily Midrise Suggested Across Street from The BravernThe property directly across the street from The Bravern, on NE 8th St., has a sign advertising it’s for sale. The group representing the property, R.M. Watson Co., has proposed a 239-unit multi-family condo or apartment building. The signs also suggest that construction could start as early as summer if a buyer is found.

Inquiries to find out the sale price of the land were not returned by the listing agent.

This location was previously planned to host ‘VIDA Condos,’ a 12-story condominium midrise with studios that ranged from 400 – 1,000 square feet. This project never broke ground.

  1. If this gets built, I hope that the neither the parking entrance/exit is off of NE 8th.

  2. How is this news? That sign has been up for months. Why not write a post about the new project on NE 12th that just broke ground recently?

  3. wait, what is the thing on NE 12th?

  4. They have finally torn down that really old house located between 110th and 112th Ave on 12th St. I think it was a nail salon or something for a while.

I saw construction equipment and crew there today. According to this: http://www.ci.bellevue.wa.us/pdf/Development%20Services/lu_MajorProjects.pdf, the only project nearby is the Park Metro, but that’s still in planning. Hmm…

  5. @EnataiMan, i wouldn’t put too much stock on what phase each project is listed in on that report. The SoMa towers is in the same phase as Park Metro according to that document and that has broken ground as well.

  6. I hope this site isn’t just condos. In my perfect world, Su would buy it, turn it into another Elements phase, and build a skybridge linking the Elements complex with the Bravern. Walking across NE 8th is freaking scary and the lights take FOREVER.

  7. With the exception of Main Street; Bellevue is not pedestrian friendly, especially around the Bravern.

  8. Another condo/apt.! Not another!! And the
worst is usually the ugliness of 2-tone paint
(I hope not, like downtown Safeway). I am
tired of the builders of ruining Bellevue. I
am an old-timer that liked Bellevue before the influx of all these high-rise monsters.

  9. @Wango Tango: One could argue that the Bellevue Square / Lincoln Square / Bellevue Place corners are pedestrian friendly, what with the sky bridges. 🙂
