Concur to Relocate from Redmond to Downtown Bellevue

Concur Downtown BellevueOne of the Puget Sound’s largest technology companies is leaving Redmond to relocate to downtown Bellevue. Concur Technologies, is a provider of software solutions that automate employee spending management.

According to GeekWire, a technology site  based in Seattle, Concur has signed a lease for 122,742 square feet at 601 108th Ave NE in the Key Center building. The 22 story building, next to the Bellevue transit center, includes 488,470 square feet of space.

Geekwire quotes Rajeev Singh, president and COO of Concur as saying, “..we had to find a place that would not only accommodate where we are today, but also accommodates our growth (in the future).”

Concur was founded in 1993 and employs more than 2,200 workers worldwide. 600 of those employees are located locally. All regional staff will move to the Bellevue location.

The article highlights Concur president Singh’s dedication to the local marketplace. “We are committed to the market for sure. This is where our roots are and we think that there is a great innovation economy here. Some of the best engineers and high-tech talent in the world are right here. We want to make this operation move from a 600 person operation locally to a 1,000 (person operation).”

Concur’s new lease agreement extends for 10 years, with an option to renew the lease for an additional five years. The company chose downtown Bellevue based on its central location, multiple transportation options and nearby amenities.
