Multifamily-Midrise-Suggested-Across-Street-from-The-Bravern_3Skanska USA’s Commercial Development unit in Seattle recently purchased property at 11011 NE 9th St. in downtown Bellevue.

The 41,000-square-foot site, known as Alley 111, is planned for a mixed-use space offering 259 apartments and an “activated ground floor experience” for residents, according to a press statement.

Alley 111 is Skanska’s third project in the Seattle area since the group started operations in February 2011.

Skanska USA focuses on the development of Class A office projects, apartments, and mixed-use urban development designed with sustainability in mind.

  1. Is this the site the Eastern Europeans used to have – with a car elevator in the middle due to the lot size?
Perhaps Skanska will have better luck with Bellevue. Seattle recently gave the developer everything they asked for to make their 3400 Stone ‘deep green’ project possible. Can Bellevue top that?

  2. No, this appears to be the empty space between Courtyard Marriott and Plaza East off NE 8th St (even though it’s addressed from NE 9th). Looks like quite the development challenge.

  3. Hopefully they can get under construction soon. The ground floor of my current building is so unactivated. It’s depressing.
