For the fourth time, Money Magazine named Bellevue one of the best small cities in America. This year, Bellevue ranked No. 40 on the magazine’s top 100 list.
“We’re gratified to be recognized for the fourth time as one of the best places to live in the country,” Mayor Conrad Lee said in a statement.
The magazine reported that Bellevue has more employees than residents, thanks to major local employers, including Microsoft, Expedia, Coinstar, and Puget Sound Energy.
Since 2006, Money Magazine has been conducting a survey every other year to determine the country’s best cities with a population between 50,000 and 300,000. The magazine looks for cities with economic strength, quality health care, low crime, great schools, and many activities.
That list is anything but a scam. They just churn over the list of small cities in a nice region so different cities can be ranked high every year.
Cities around Seattle that have been in the top 10:
Bainbridge
Mukilteo
Bellevue
Redmond
Sammamish
I guess soon it will be Kirkland’s turn… And something bad obviously happened between 2010 and now since Bellevue dropped from No. 4 to No. 40.
@Kevin: Since 2010, the Parlor and Munchbar started attracting the BARK crowd 🙂
No mention of PACCAR?
