Tickets go on sale Monday for TEDxBellevue, a conference exploring ways to create a global community built on “Sustainable Happiness.”
TEDxBellevue aims to create communities where common good, holistic life balance, and daily play are valued over short-term profits, personal interests, and the idea that people can buy temporary satisfaction, according to a statement from curator Anna Choi.
The conference will take place from 1-7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Cast Iron Studios in downtown Bellevue. Tickets cost $100 each and are available by application only.
TEDxBellevue will feature 12 experts in the fields of technology, philanthropy, business, non-profit, art, and entertainment. Two of the speakers include: John De Graaf, the national coordinator of Take Back Your Time, an organization challenging time poverty and overwork in the U.S. and Canada; and Thach Nguyen, a Vietnamese refugee who has become a real estate agent, developer, and philanthropist.
