Eastside residents of all ages can skate with professional hockey players this weekend in downtown Bellevue.
All members of the Seattle Thunderbirds will be joining the public to skate, take pictures, and sign autographs from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Chaplin’s Bellevue Subaru Ice Arena in Bellevue’s Downtown Park.
The T-Birds will be joined by their mascot, Cool Bird, and they’re looking forward to skating with fans, according to a press statement.
This year the downtown ice arena has a larger ice surface and a new ice resurfacer for improved skating. The all-weather venue also offers food and beverage concessions. General admission costs $12, including skate rental. Admission and skate rental is $8 for children 6 and under.
