The Harbor Club, located on the top floor of the Symetra Financial Center in downtown Bellevue, will close its doors when its lease ends on March 31, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.
Bob Carlile, president of the club’s board of directors, announced the closure on Wednesday. His comments provided context for the closing, which included economic realities of the current rental market for office buildings in Bellevue.
The Harbor Club came to Bellevue in 1996. The original Harbor Club, which opened in 1960 and is situated in the Norton Building at Second Avenue and Columbia Street in Seattle, will remain open. Both locations serve as premier business gathering spaces in the Pacific Northwest, according to the club’s website.

I didn’t even know that place existed. I guess I’m not the target audience…
too bad. someone who knows how to run a ‘club’ should take that space over. would be incredible w/ a remodel, a couple bars, dining area, etc. under current ownership it was borderline horrendous. someone should see if permits allow for this to be a cool old mans club too – bars, lounges, etc – like the old overlake, open late night, classic dinners, mid day lunches, sketchy cocktails around the clock. awesome.
I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall and listened in on all of the shared knowledge, the laughter and all of the successful business conversations that have been concluded there.
Bummer, it was such a nice facility. I attended a few events there and the food was outstanding, especially steak!!
