Downtown Bellevue recently ranked No. 4 on Redfin’s top 10 list of U.S. neighborhoods that have the largest proportion of environmentally-friendly homes.
During the past two years, about 36 percent of Redfin home listings in downtown Bellevue included “green” features, such as: solar panels, low-flow faucets, dual-pane windows, energy-efficient appliances, and environmental ratings and certifications.
The Seattle metropolitan area also came out on top for the most neighborhoods (20) where 10% or more of the homes for sale included green features. The rankings were based on the proportion of green listings out of total listings for each neighborhood.
Readers, want to make your home more environmentally-friendly? Redfin compiled a handy list of tips to help you get started.
Does the 36% figure include buildings like the one I live in, which is “LEED crtified”, but which lets Mustang GTs and Audi A8s park in the “Low emission vehicles only” spots?
