photo 2Last Friday the media got a sneak preview viewing opportunity of “The Studio Expansion Experience Center” for the Lincoln Square Expansion showroom. This showroom houses state-of-the-art interactive technology to preview the apartments, office space, hotel, shopping and entertainment planned within the expansion.

Kemper Freeman Jr. led the press conference announcing the showroom. He spoke about how there was great attention to detail paid to uphold the existing views of One Lincoln Tower residents, as well as the future office space and residential units. When Freeman was asked why the three towers were reduced to two, where the rug store currently resides, he was candid with this answer by stating, “I’ll give you the simple answer – I missed a meeting.” He later went on to explain that he wanted to ensure that the views were retained for the buildings. By going from three towers to two larger towers this ensured that views were protected.

Among the many features are two models of the expansion. One features The Bellevue Collection and the other features the downtown Bellevue district. Also a part of the showroom will be model apartment units fully built out. These will be available for viewing on a separate floor and were still in construction. The units will have the exact layouts as well as finishes that the apartments will have upon competition.

The showroom is located on the second floor at Lincoln Square across from Lucky Strike down the hallway towards The Westin. The showroom is planned to be open in mid-June to the public.

Ground breaking for the project is slated for mid-July. For additional information on the project visit the Lincoln Square Expansion website.

  1. I wish there was a concert venue over here. That’s the main thing I feel is lacking in Bellevue.

  2. Bellevue needs a poker room.
