The City of Bellevue will host an open house on Tuesday, June 3, to get the public’s input on the Downtown Livability Initiative.
The city has been holding meetings, focus groups, and walking tours centered on downtown livability for the past 18 months. Tuesday’s meeting will be an opportunity for local residents to view displays and provide feedback on the work of the Downtown Livability Citizen’s Advisory Committee, according to a press statement. Comments will be reviewed by the committee and it will later make recommendations to the planning commission and city council.
The open house will run from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Bellevue City Hall, room 1E-108. A presentation will begin at 5 p.m. Facilitated focus groups will then discuss topics such as public amenities, open space, walkability, parking, design guidelines, and building height and density.
The city implemented the Downtown Livability Initiative in late 2012 in order to analyze development regulations and enhance downtown Bellevue.
