“Bellwether,” the City of Bellevue’s biennial sculpture exhibition, will open this week in downtown Bellevue.
The public is welcome to meet the artists during a free opening celebration from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 27, at City Hall. The artwork will be on display through Oct. 12.
This year’s exhibition, titled “Bellevue 2014: Connect,” will showcase more than 30 sculptures and art installations situated between City Hall and Downtown Park. The connection theme encourages viewers to reflect upon how they connect with community, nature, and one another, according to a press statement.
Viewers can learn more by downloading a free mobile app called STQRY that explains the stories behind the art. Exhibition maps will be available throughout downtown and online.
