Sano Café, a Wellness-Focused Eatery, to Open in Bellevue on June 14

Centre 425 Building

Sano Café, a health-focused eatery originally founded on Mercer Island, will officially open its second location on Saturday, June 14 in downtown Bellevue. The new café is located in the Centre425 building on 106th Avenue Northeast, directly across from Bellevue Towers.

The café, whose name means “healthy mind and body” in Italian, is known for its fresh juices, smoothies, elixirs, açaí bowls, soups, and salads. The Bellevue location will also offer grab-and-go options for customers on the move, along with an expanded coffee menu unique to this store—including specialty drinks like a coffee-orange juice blend recently previewed on social media.

Sano Café first opened in 2015 on Mercer Island, founded by Lisa Nordstrom with a mission to offer clean, wholesome food for families and individuals striving for a healthier lifestyle. According to the café’s website, Sano was created in response to the growing demand for healthy alternatives and a desire to offer a gathering place for customers who care about what they eat, especially for their families.

The decision to expand to Bellevue was a strategic one. With its close proximity to Mercer Island and a new demographic of health-conscious residents and professionals, the location was a natural next step. The Bellevue café will reflect the brand’s core values while offering a slightly expanded menu tailored to the downtown market.

The company is part of Conscious Hospitality Group, which envisions opening a Sano Café in every city. The group has plans to open additional locations in Redmond and Kirkland in July, with a goal of launching 6–10 cafés by the end of 2025. While each new space will stay true to the Sano brand, they will also be designed to reflect the character of the communities they serve.

With the downtown Bellevue opening, Sano Café continues to grow its presence on the Eastside, offering a health-forward menu to customers.
