REI Plans Corporate Headquarters Move to Bellevue’s Spring District

REI plans to relocate its corporate headquarters from Kent to Bellevue’s Spring District. According to the announcement over 1,200 employees will make the move by 2020.

REI has made a non-binding letter of intent to develop eight acres of the Spring District. A statement from REI suggests that they will “embed the outdoors” within their new campus.

“We are thrilled to enter into this arrangement with REI at the Spring District,” said Greg Johnson, Wright Runstad & Company president, in a statement. “Wright Runstad and Shorestein Properties have planned The Spring District from the beginning to embrace sustainability, walkability, and regional transit and trail connections; all key values that we share with REI.”
