The Tateuchi Center announced Wednesday that the City of Bellevue will be contributing $20M to the project as a response to their conclusion of an 18-month review of the project’s vision.
In addition to the new funding from the City of Bellevue, the Tateuchi Center website has been entirely refreshed based on board member Michelle Foreman Barnet’s contributions.

I can’t wait for this to be built. I believe generations to come will appreciate the work we are doing now to bring a world-class performing arts and education center to the Eastside at today’s prices. As Bellevue and surrounding communities grow, this local, iconic center will be even more necessary and appreciated. Kudos to the team raising money to make it happen! And more so to those who have generously donated!
So public funding goes into this, but Seattle can’t provide bonds that are paid back for the SODO Arena. Unbelievable.
