A one-acre site at 1000 100th Ave. N.E. in downtown Bellevue was purchased by Bellevue developer, Continental Properties, on Tuesday, the Puget Sound Business Journal reports. The selling price for the transaction was unavailable at the time of the announcement of the sale. The property is currently home to the Sumiyoshi Apartments.
Just one block north of Bellevue Square, Continental Properties will construct a new five-story building with approximately 135 units and 199 below-grade parking spots. Plans call for a rooftop deck that showcases the Bellevue skyline.
Groundbreaking is planned for the summer of 2016. “The project will be entirely residential with supporting amenities, including a rooftop deck with barbecues,” Continental Properties said in a press release.
Consultants for the project include Studio Meng Strazzara, architect; CT Engineering, structural engineer; Pace Engineers, civil; Emerald City Engineers, mechanical, electrical and plumbing; Morrison Hershfield, building envelope; Thomas Rengstorf & Associates, landscape architect; and Sechrist Design Associates, interior designer.
