Mendocino Farms, the restaurant known for its sandwiches and salads, will soon open in Downtown Bellevue, according to a representative for the company. It will be located at 10667 Northeast 4th Street, in front of the KeyBank Building.

The fast-casual eatery will be located in a pavilion spanning 3,137 square feet, currently under construction, within a property owned by the Fana Group of Companies.

The current project involves constructing a 3,172 square foot retail and restaurant pavilion at the KeyBank building site. It includes updates to create a new outdoor plaza between the pavilion and the existing KeyBank building, as well as extend the through-block connector. While initial plans called for demolishing the existing structure, FANA, according to a current tenant, decided to retain and utilize the existing space on the property instead.

Mendocino Farms’ menu includes options such as prosciutto & chicken, Peruvian steak, and vegan Bahn Mi. Salads like avocado and quinoa, Thai mango, and a modern Caesar are also featured. Additionally, the menu offers 1/2 sandwich combos, soups, and various sides.

Established in 2005 by husband-and-wife team Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen, Mendocino Farms boasts 70 locations throughout California, Texas, and Washington. Currently, there are two Mendocino Farms locations in Seattle. A new restaurant is planned for Totem Lake in Kirkland this fall, followed by the Downtown Bellevue location.

“Since our first restaurant opening in Seattle at South Lake Union in 2023, we’ve been enthusiastic about expanding in this region that shares our passion for high-quality meals made from the best ingredients. Bellevue is the next chapter of our story here as we continue to bring our fresh, flavorful sandwiches, salads and more to nearby communities, fostering connections and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests,” said Kevin Miles, CEO of Mendocino Farms.

According to Mendocino Farms, the South Lake Union location was the first in Washington, which opened in response to requests from the brand’s fan base. Committed to supporting local farmers and communities, the company focuses on evolving its menu with innovative flavor combinations.

We contacted a representative from Mendocino Farms, who confirmed that the opening date has yet to be announced.
