Voodoo Doughnut in Downtown Bellevue.
Portland’s pink doughnut institution took over the old barbershop on Old Bellevue’s Main Street in October 2025 — the Voodoo Doll, the Bacon Maple Bar, and a line that has not really stopped.
Voodoo Doughnut is the pink building on Main Street — a single-story former barbershop at 10713 Main, repainted in the Portland chain’s signature color and filled with the case that made it famous: the Voodoo Doll with its pretzel stake, the Bacon Maple Bar, the Portland Cream, the Memphis Mafia, and forty other things, boxed by the dozen. It opened in October 2025 as the chain’s first Eastside shop, and the opening-week line down Main Street has settled into a steady one.
DBN found the permits in June 2025, when Voodoo took the Rudy’s space, and covered the October 19 opening: the 25th store nationwide, the third in Washington after Capitol Hill and Vancouver, free dozens for the first in line, a Bellevue-only Apple Orchard doughnut, and a share of opening proceeds to Bellevue LifeSpring. It made our list of the most-read stories of 2025, which tells you how Old Bellevue felt about it.
It is a chain doughnut shop and a very good one at being itself; the Main Street coffee counters a few doors down are the pairing. See our guide to downtown Bellevue coffee shops.
What to Get at Voodoo Doughnut
Forty-odd doughnuts in the case; these five are the ones that made the name.
Voodoo Doll
Raised yeast dough filled with raspberry jelly, chocolate frosting, and a pretzel stake through the heart — the doughnut that built the brand, and the first one out of the box.
Bacon Maple Bar
A raised bar under maple frosting with strips of bacon on top. The other reason people drove to Portland for twenty years.
Portland Cream
Bavarian cream inside, chocolate on top, two frosting eyeballs — the shop’s take on the Boston cream, named for home.
Memphis Mafia
Fried dough with banana, cinnamon, glaze, chocolate, peanut butter, and peanuts. Order it once for the table; it is a meal.
Voodoo Dozen
Thirteen of the greatest hits in the pink box — the office order, the party order, and the reason to bring a car. A vegan dozen mirrors it.
