Zumper recently released their Seattle Metro Report for February 2021. The report indicates the most and least expensive rents across 19 metro cities in the Seattle Metro Area. The information also includes the cities with the fastest growing and the largest decline in rent. The median rent for a one-bedroom in Washington was $1,292 for February.
Bellevue and Redmind were ranked as the second most expensive cities to rent in the metro area, costing $1,820 for a single bedroom. Bellevue experienced a drastic 16.9% decline in rent which was cited as the largest year-over-year drop within the 19 cities.
The most expensive city to rent in March 2021 is Kirkland, having a $1,850 rent on a single bedroom. Trailing behind Bellevue and Redmond is Renton, with a rent of $1,590.
According to the report, the least expensive city to rent last month is Oak harbor, having an affordable price of $1,010 rent for a one-bedroom.
Bellingham had the fastest-growing rent with a 5.5% growth rate, while Olympia had the largest monthly decline with a 5% decline rate.
The Zumper Seattle Metro Area Report analyzed active listings that hit the market last month. Listings are aggregated by city of calculate median asking rents.
