Bellevue Arts Museum Artsfair

bellevue-artsfairThis years Bellevue Arts Museum Artsfair will last 3 days, stretching from Friday, July 24th through Sunday, July 26th.  For over 60 years now, the fair in Downtown Bellevue at Bellevue Square and the Bellevue Arts Museum has presented the largest arts festival in the Pacific Northwest, which is made possible by Microsoft – the presenting sponsor.

The fair has free entry and will be made up of 325 exhibitors that will feature handmade arts and crafts, drawings, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal work, paintings, sculptures, wood, and much more.  Almost one third of the exhibitors this year are new, participating for the first time in the event!

During the weekend, the Kidsfair will be sponsored by Overlake Hospital, featuring hands-on art activities for children, including sock puppets, a museum passport, a painting studio, Tie-Dye, and more.  Kids can also enjoy Chalk It Up! which has been a hit in the past.  This free outdoor activity allows kids and adults alike to draw in chalk on 6th Street, outside of the museum.

The Bellevue Arts Museum Artsfair is not the only fair going on over the same weekend…In fact, there are 3 which are all within one block of each other in Downtown Bellevue.  The 6th Street Fair, next to the Galleria, is put on by the Bellevue Downtown Association and more than 120 artists showcase their craft of sculpture, jewelry, home décor, wood and glass, and fabrics in an open-air display.  In addition, you’ll be able to enjoy live musicians over the weekend.

Between the 3 fairs there are over 640 artists featuring their art and total attendance is expected to reach about 350,000 people at the events.  There is a little bit of everything at the 3 different fairs, including food stands.  Make it an afternoon, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the entertainment.  There will be fun for everyone!

  1. Thank you for getting it right about there being 3 fairs. It always amazes me how many people, folks who’ve lived here forever, even, who don’t know that!

  2. Thanks so much for this great piece, and for shining a bit of the spotlight on the Bellevue Festival of the Arts. It’s a wonderful event in its own right and this promises to be a great year!
