Seastar To Serve 500 Needy Guests Thanksgiving Day

SeaStar BellevueBellevue’s Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar, partnering with Overlake Service League, Hopelink, Olive Crest, and the Redmond YWCA, will host over 500 Eastside needy families on Thanksgiving for what is turning out to be an annual tradition.

Seastar crewmembers volunteer as cooks, as family and friend volunteers work as servers and dishwashers to serve a first class, 3-course Thanksgiving dinner to these families.

Chef and owner John Howie estimates that they will be using 575 pounds of turkey, 200 pounds of stuffing, 250 pounds of potatoes, 200 pounds of yams, 30 pounds of cranberry sauce, and will be serving 60 pumpkin pies. What a wonderful way to give back on this holiday of thanks.
