One Main Street Bellevue

Over the weekend One Main Street hosted their 1st public event to preview their newly completed condominiums. The 57 luxury homes on Main Street have 37 unique floor plans. Although some floor plans may be similar, the views and patio/decks range from floor to floor. One feature that stood out at One Main Street, compared to its competitors, was the generous size of their patio/decks offered. Homes the size of 800 square feet have patios that stretch almost 300 square feet. Larger homes feature patios that wrap around the whole residence.

Although the weather was cloudy over the weekend, the views of Lake Washington were still enjoyable. Warm weather in the summer coupled with clear skies and a great patio will make One Main Street a great place to entertain guests. Some of the features that all homes are outfitted with include hardwood floors, 100% wool carpeting in bedrooms, and Bosch stainless steel appliances. The location of Main Street will make this an even more desirable place to live.

Prices at One Main Street start at a more affordable price point than many of the other newly constructed condos on the market right now. 1-bedroom and open 1-bedroom homes start at $349,900. 2-bedroom homes start at $499,900. If you are interested in taking a tour of the property, their new sales center is now open at the base of One Main Street.

  1. I went and looked at these as well. The decks are clearly supposed to be the selling point. My issue is that the layouts are really bad IMO. The majority of rooms are tiny! The Kitchens take up WAY too much room for the size of the condos. It makes the living room seem no existent (its not an illusion either…they hardly are existent in many of them). If you have a large TV good luck with that!! Overall, disappointed. While they are slightly cheaper, still overpriced (but most bellevue/seattle places still are). However, if I were to buy an overpriced place you would get more for your money at Bellevue Towers (I won’t be paying those prices either though). You can rent equal quality for about 35%+ less then the cost of owning (huge red flag not to buy at such a bad ratio).

  2. Well said AJ. Price to rent ratios are out of whack in Bellevue. Many Seattle condos are hitting significant price reductions or going to auction. Buying in Bellevue now would be really bad IMHO.

  3. Not a good time to buy?
I respectfully disagree. There has never been a better time to buy than now. The prices have come down a lot, you don’t have to compete with other buyers, and the sellers are willing to make deals.
Then again, I am one of those who like to go against the crowds. I like to buy when nobody is, and like to sell when everybody is trying to buy.

  4. I agree some great condo deals in downtown Bellevue exist. Once consumer confidence returns to the real estate market, they will be snapped up quickly. You can wait til then and be crowded out by multiple buyers trying take advantage of the upswing.

  5. Old Main is my favorite part of Bellevue, it’s nice and quiet, walkable and very livable. If I was buying a new condo I would much rather live here then Bellevue Towers or the Bravern.

  6. @Oldmain33 I do agree with you there (it’s my favorite part of bellevue). In fact I currently rent by there….more reason why I was disappointed that the One Main Street condos are the way they are (since it rules out a place to ever buy at). Did anyone see the condo (forget which level 3 or 4 and facing towards the street and one of the few without a deck) well the neighbors deck goes halfway into their BEDROOM WINDOW!? So your neighbor could seriously be on their deck looking right into your room. Why didn’t they end the deck before their window?

@LD I also like to buy when no one else is, but it’s more important to me to buy when it makes financial sense. I will buy when hardly anyone is buying & the price makes since……Not just when no one is buying and the condo developers are delusional.

  7. I completely disagree with the comments listed below. I live in a condo and my deck is small. I would kill to have a larger deck. I think the kitchens were amazing. I have lived in a condo for many years and I saw those kitchens this weekend and I was jealous of the layouts.

  8. Totally agree with AJ. Floorplans were generally haphazard and space was not used efficiently. Great materials all around, nice kitchens and baths, top-of-the-line appliances… all good but meant to draw your attention away from the poorly designed floorplans. One small unit has a concrete pillar right in the middle of the room. Nice spacious decks in some cases but absolutely no privacy. And that one unit where the neighbors deck looks into the bedroom??? Seriously, who approved that? Very poor design.

Great location but way overpriced as with most of the new condos downtown.

  9. The only thing at Bellevue Towers, you have to spend 15 min getting to and from your car and the parking is tandem. I would rather have side by side and I like the fact that you can walk to the park etc without dealing with office traffic

  10. I liked the condos at One Main, the kitchens & baths were amazing. I have seen so many condos where they build them and the kitchens are a one butt kitchen. I could actually see myself living here. I think that I would rather have a smaller building than be in a tower, but i hate heights. I like the fact that I could get to my home from my car in 2 min and there is lots of street parking around. I tried to visit my friend is Bellevue downtown and after driving around the block 12 times looking for parking, I finally gave up and told her to meet me at the restaurant. I personally would trade the lifestyle there for tower living anyday

  11. @AC Love the location as well. I just hate the “unique” floorplans.

  12. Location, Location, Location is the key in real estate and One Main certainly has this better than any of the other options in the city. MORE IMPORTANTLY is when I buy I am buying a HOME, not a deal or an investment. One Main looks, feels, and is much more of a home than anything I have seen in Bellevue. I love Old Main and the parks and comfortable walking conveniences. Spending 10+ minutes each time I want to go in or out of a high-rise parking garage and elevators is just not acceptable to my lifestyle. One Main has a great garage and an elevator that will take me directly to my floor.

Getting serious now when I can have lots of options of what to buy makes a lot of sense. I love the high-end touches and I am liking many of the floor plans, not for everyone I guess.

  13. I toured, not impressed with the floor plans, especially the one the huge deck. Too far out & I think is a waste of space! But I do like the shops & restaurants on Main Street!

  14. PS…The shoe store across One Main ~ Gotta Have Shoes was amazing! The best visit I made!
