Sushi Yama, located at 304 105th Ave NE in downtown Bellevue, has now closed. The inexpensive, conveyor-belt sushi restaurant was rivaled three years ago when Sushi Maru, a similar type of restaurant opened, across the street.
It was widely speculated that both establishments would have difficulty maintaining success, due to their close proximity. Restaurant goers looking for conveyor-belt sushi still have three options to choose from in Downtown Bellevue: Marinepolis Sushi Land, Blue C Sushi and the fore mentioned.
A sign outside the closed restaurant now promotes, “Coming Soon: Seoul Garden Korean Restaurant.”
