The second annual Totally Teal Toast, an ’80s themed bar crawl in downtown Bellevue, will raise funds for the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research, on Saturday, Feb. 23.
The fundraiser will kick off at 2:30 p.m. at Lot No. 3, and continue at Pearl Bar & Dining, Paddy Coyne’s, Koral Bar & Kitchen, and Earls. Participants should dress in ’80s-style costumes, with big hair and bright colors.
Totally Teal Toast started two years ago after three local sisters, Jessica Shane, Corinne Cope, and Jackelyn Immel, lost a loved one to stage IV ovarian cancer. The fundraiser, which is open to ages 21 and up, raises awareness of ovarian cancer and its symptoms.
Last year 65 people attended, however the event organizers said they are hoping for 100 this year. Tickets cost $50 and all net proceeds will be donated to the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research, a non-profit organization in Seattle.
