The purpose of matching wine to food is simply to enhance the taste of a meal. When food and wine pairings are done correctly a heavenly connection between the food and wine makes for a more satisfying taste.
Ou readers are invited to connect with Napa Valley media personality and nationally known cookbook author Jill Silverman Hough as she showcases her 100 Perfect Pairings cookbook series. The event will take place at Cast Iron Studios in downtown Bellevue on June 9th at noon.
Chef Hough will lead guests through an interactive tasting showing how different foods and flavors affect how wine tastes.
Recipes from the book will be paired with current releases from these featured local wineries: Forgeron Cellars, Walla Walla; Kana Winery, Yakima and Chinook Wines, Prosser.
