The Bellevue Collection will present a weekend of art, music, and dance in celebration of the 2014 Lunar New Year in downtown Bellevue next month.
Eastside residents can view traditional and contemporary cultural demonstrations during the Lunar New Year Celebration at Bellevue Square’s Center Court from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, and from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9.
The family-friendly festival will feature martial arts groups, Chinese opera, traditional dance and music, face painting, and calligraphy. The Chinese Lion and Dragon Parade – a symbol of strength and good luck to the community – will take place from 2-3 p.m. that Saturday. Check out the full schedule for details.
The Bellevue Collection is hosting this event in partnership with The Taiwan Benevolent Association of America, The Overseas Chinese Affairs Council (ROC), and the Seattle Chinese Cultural and Arts Association.
