Bellevue’s city leaders are raising awareness of the Tateuchi Center, a new performing arts center that will be located at the corner of Northeast 10th Street and 106th Avenue Northeast, in downtown Bellevue.
The 2,000-seat theatre has raised $63 million of its $160 million goal, according to an article in The Seattle Times. The City of Bellevue has contributed $2 million toward the design and construction.
Bellevue Mayor Claudia Balducci announced in Tuesday’s state of the city address that the Tateuchi Center is a priority for the city this year.
In February, the city partnered with the Performing Arts Center Eastside to develop a public-private partnership to complete the Tateuchi Center.
