The Seattle Seahawks are winners on and off the field. The Hawks have donated $20K toward a wheel-chair accessible swing to be installed at the future Inspiration Playground at Bellevue’s Downtown Park.
The contribution is part of the Seahawks’ PLAY 60 program, a league-wide effort to overcome childhood obesity with an hour of daily exercise.
The project is supported by the Bellevue Rotary Club which has raised around $2.2 million for the $5.5 million Inspiration Playground project. The club is looking to raise another $500,000 to begin construction this fall.
More details about the playground and Downtown Park improvements will be outlined during an open house 5:30-7 p.m.Thursday, March 26 at Bellevue City Hall, 450 110th Ave. N.E.
