Kemper Development Company is set to disclose plans for a new hotel to be located in the 1.5 million square foot expansion coming to Lincoln Square in Bellevue. The official announcement will be made this coming Monday, March 23, the company said.
Company officials will showcase unique project design features. In addition, media questions related to the development plans will be answered.
Speculation, fueled by the web domain registration by the company, is that the hotel operator will be W Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hotel chain owned by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. W Hotels is generally marketed toward a younger crowd than their other upscale properties, which include the Westin, Sheraton, St. Regis and Le Méridien brands. The domain wbellevue.com was registered on March 7 and currently forwards to the W Hotels website.
The Lincoln Square Expansion project is located between NE 4th and NE 6th on Bellevue Way in downtown Bellevue.
