Whisk of Bellevue is more than a kitchenware store. Whisk is also a mecca for cooking classes with a talented team of chefs that have diverse culinary experience.
Now Whisk is announcing Summer Kids Cooking Camps. The store will host week-long cooking camps, beginning next week through August, for kids ages 8-18. The classes are a great way to engage youth and simultaneously cultivate a life-long skill.
Whisk is offering three different camp experiences, 12 kids per class: Baking From Scratch, World Traveler, and Fend for Yourself. The one week courses are offered at $395.
Baking From Scratch: (ages 8-13) Essential baking techniques, methods, tips for customizing recipes, as well as presentation techniques.
World Traveler: (ages 14-18)
Learn to cook and taste worldwide ethnic foods, explore ingredients and flavor profiles, practice knife skills and gain experience with kitchen equipment.
Fend for Yourself: (ages 14-18)
Learn essential skills needed to create healthy meals. Also knife skills, shopping, food storage, utilizing leftovers and adapting recipes to produce nutritious meals.
