The South Bellevue Park-and-Ride is scheduled to close in early 2017, as early as January. The Park-and-Ride will close for approximately five years according to representatives at Sound Transit. The City of Bellevue and Sound Transit will work together with the contractor to open the Park-and-Ride earlier if possible.
The South Bellevue Park-and-Ride is located at 2700 Bellevue Way SE. The lot is popular, filling the 519 spots daily for commuters. This closure will put additional strain on an already limited commuting environment.
Due to the closure there are a few new Bellevue park-and-ride lots that can be viewed on the Sound Transit website.

None of these new park and rides are remotely useful to current South Bellevue park and ride users that catch the 550 bus to Seattle. Turns a 15 minute ride into 45+ minutes.
I agree with Devon, none of the new locations are useful. I have to drive a few miles in the opposite direction and ride the B line to the Bellevue Transit Center to change buses. We need a lot on Bellevue Way.
