Bellevue Police Officer Placed on Administrative Leave Over Social Media Profiles

According to the Bellevue Police Department’s blog, it was brought to their attention on Tuesday, June 2nd, that an officer maybe have violated the department’s social media policy. After looking into this matter, they determined there was reason to launch an investigation.

The officer has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. AN independent outside investigation has been authorized by the Chief to ensure complete transparency.

Their blog goes on to explain that the “Bellevue Police Department employees train and are guided by our core values of respect, integrity, accountability, and service.” Chief Mylett was quoted saying that they will “take appropriate actions at its conclusion.”

Below is a thread of tweets from the officer in question’s Twitter feed which has been documented by Antifascist Action’s Twitter account. The officer in question has apparently been deleted.
